You might associate motion-sensor lighting with blinding floodlights mounted on the corner of your home. But those days are over. While they are not easy to find at a store, we have LED motion sensor outdoor lights!
For this Wilmington family, it was important to deter uninvited guests from wandering into their backyard through the side gate. In addition to illuminating the winding path, we used a 2-Watt LED motion sensor landscape light that will light up anytime someone opens the gate. This is not only safety and security for them, but for their beloved pet dog too!
Pergola & Outdoor Kitchen Lighting
Outdoor kitchen lighting is a trending request for our expert lighting designers. As homeowners fine-tune their grill master skills, lighting is necessary for prep and outdoor cooking. We customized a solution for this family, by mounting lights into the soffit over their stainless steel grill. The resulting wash of light down their brick façade is not only functional but creates a gorgeous focal feature outside of their screened-in porch.
There is little benefit to cooking outdoors at night if you can’t enjoy entertaining or relaxing outdoors at night too. We implemented 4, 4-inch, 4-Watt LED lights in the top of the pergola to provide a soft ambient light in their backyard lounging area. These lights are perfect as they don’t overwhelm the gorgeous gas fireplace or the lovely water view.
Curb Appeal with Exterior Home Lighting Installation
Last but certainly not least, the first impression of this house at night is that of a safe and secure home that is occupied and enjoyed. With gorgeous uplighting, we highlighted their favorite trees and their sweet garden statue. The result is not only warm and inviting but magical, with the shadows created on the home’s exterior.
