Understated elegance. Pure beauty. Whimsical details. A landscape artist’s palette of rich, vibrant and fragrant florals and colors, with an abundance of natural intricate textures.
Welcome to our most recent Palm Harbor, Florida, outdoor lighting design installation.
With an outdoor oasis such as this, when it comes to spotlighting and after dark illumination, less is definitely more.
Take a guess as to how many of our handcrafted copper and brass low voltage fixtures illuminate this stunning poolside oasis and adjacent approach. 24 you say? Nope. Okay, then maybe 12? Getting warmer, but you’re not quite there yet.
Would you believe nine? Just nine outdoor lights.
Yessiree, folks. Ingeniously, there are just nine outdoor lights in this waterside landscape scheme.
Here’s where they are located, but chances are except for one fixture, you won’t easily see them.
That’s because at Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Clearwater and Tampa Bay, our primary focus in creating the artistry of lightscaping design is not about being able to see the fixtures. Our imagination and skillfulness is all about our illumination effects. And although our outdoor light fixtures are stunning, it’s not about them.
SINCE WE DESIGN FOR EFFECT, IT’S ALL ABOUT THE RIGHT NUMBER OF OUTDOOR LIGHTS WHEN DESIGNING FOR POOL AND WATER FEATURE LIGHTING
Our pool-surround lighting designers thoughtfully select just the right amount of lights to dramatically highlight intricate Florida backyards.
The client for this sumptuous illumination design just purchased this home but they are not new to us. We also have had the privilege of having installed and maintaining their nearby vacation rental property.
Here is where the lights now live. There are three path lights along the steps leading to the jacuzzi and hot tub area.
We strategically placed four lights behind the rock wall with two more lights on either side, for the perfect balance of the warm glow of energy efficient light.
HOW SHOULD I BE LIGHTING MY POOL FOR EVENING?
The most honest way to answer that question is by reaching out to us for a free, no obligation design consultation.
Once we know the lay of your land and what your objectives are, we can determine what number of fixtures are needed and where they should be placed.
In addition to broadcasting rich, decorative, romantic effects, we also focus on safety and security – which is just one of the reasons why our lights are never intended to shine directly into sightlines. Subdued is the key word here.
