Any traditional general service lamp (GSL) will be unlawful to manufacture, import, or purchase, which does not meet the new energy standard of 45 lumens per watt (LPW). There are currently more than 1,000 LED bulbs on the market, which meet and exceed these standards, and it’s time to invest in LED outdoor lighting.

There are some proposed or already accepted exceptions to the EISA of 2007, including specialty bulbs, like candelabras, globes, reflector recessed lighting, floodlights, and three-way bulbs.
