3 Ways an LED Conversion Maximizes Your Lighting Investment

The chance to enjoy snow is rare around these parts. In the south, snow is something we only occasionally enjoy, when the conditions are just right. It is fine to occasionally enjoy snow, but not your lights. You’ve invested in your lights and you should enjoy them regularly.

Here in the dead of winter the days are longer, which means that our lights have a chance to really shine. As of late, one of our most popular services is an LED conversion, done during an Annual Maintenance Plan service. LED conversion has become so popular because most of our customers realize that this the ideal time of year to keep your lights running longer, and they see how our LEDs help them maximize their lighting investment in (at least) 3 primary ways.

1. Our LEDs Look Great – Some people have experienced LEDs that give off an unappealing or artificial color light (think of car headlights). Sadly, some LEDs do look unnatural, but most of those lights utilize a cheap low quality bulb. At Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Augusta and Lake Oconee, we only use LED lights with Cree-chip technology, which is the highest quality LED bulb available on the market today. As you can see in the pictures, our LED lights give off the same color temperature and effect that people love in our halogen bulbs. The Cree bulbs we use register very well of the CRI-scale (Color Rendering Index), proving that all of our lights will deliver a natural glow, giving your house our signature warm, inviting, and elegant look.

2. Our LEDs Last Longer – LEDs also maximize your lighting investment by increasing the longevity of your lighting system. Our LED bulbs are able to be retrofitted into all of our fixtures and are rated for twice as many hours as their halogen counterparts. With a LED conversion, we also warranty your bulbs for twice as long as our standard bulbs (2 yrs on all LED bulbs), giving you the peace of mind that comes with the best warranty in the business.

3. Our LEDs Save Money – Last, but certainly not least, LEDs save you money each and every night you run them. Some people wrongly assume that the up-front costs of LED lighting will eliminate any savings LED lights might bring. But, this is not true. Since LED lights are 85% more efficient than standard halogen bulbs, you will quickly notice a savings on your utility bills. This means that you can run your lights as long as you want without worrying about the cost. Higher efficiency means that you will save some of your hard-earned green while also being green and helping conserve energy and the environment.
